My friend Evan and I decided to visit the Pacific Northwest for a road trip while taking my camera on the road for some out of state photography sessions. I’ve always wanted to see the Oregon and was so interested to see what it was all about. Would it be similar to the California coast? Would it be anything like the mountains in Arizona and Nevada? I was flying blind, but not knowing what to expect ended up working in my favor to capture some unforgettable once in a lifetime photos for a couple I’ve never met before.
We planned on driving through Portland and Seattle to explore the gorgeous national parks and local breweries the PNW is so famous for in addition to capturing couples’ special moments as I usually do when I travel! I met one couple at Cannon Beach in the Portland area and snapped some great photos for them. We got what we needed and began to head out.
While leaving, I caught sight of another wedding couple struggling with a tripod to capture their big day. Between running back and forth to set their timer and then try to grab a romantic pose seemed impossible… and everyone deserves to have the memories your wedding photos give from your big day. So I offered a little bit of assistance and snapped a few shots. The couple seemed to adore them and I’m so glad that I could help them capture some moments they’ll have forever as memories from their big day!
Here are the photos we captured:
